Autumn brings more Goodies for Bonsai friend

Hinoki cypress bonsai

We just received a new shipment of fresh tree seeds. This autumn stock will renew a few long out of stock species. This will turn out to be a good season.

We have put back in stock the following:

Fagus Crenata - Japanese Beech
Chamaecyparis Obtusa - Hinoki Cypress
Cryptomeria Japonica - Japanese Red Cedar
Acer Palmatum 'Osakazuki' - Japanese Maple 'Osakazuki'

We have also renewed our stock for the following tree species:

Pinus Thunbergiana - Japanese Black Pine
Pinus Mugo Pumilio - Dwarf Mugo Pine
Ilex Serrata - Finetooth Holly
Acer Barbatum - Florida Sugar Maple

These renewed stock will surely put a smile on a few of our clients who were asking for these out of stock species for a long time. It is sometime hard to find a reliable reseller for specific species. Sometimes, year after year, the crop will fail the basic germination test, and we are back for another year waiting for the new crop, next autumn.

One last thing, my bonsai tree will soon be going in dormancy, and this year I might just build a greenhouse in the backyard. I dont want to get the unpleasant surprise of last year when field mouses had eaten about half of my tree's. Last winter was a record winter in terms of snow accumulation, let's hope this year is as stable in temperature, but with less snow.

Regards,
Patrick
