Rain and more Rain this summer

Japanese Black pine Seedling

We have finally recovered from our moving and we are now fully functionnal for the last week. Our moving went fine apart from our internet problems. WE were suppose to be connected back saturday the 4th of July, however, we only had the live internet on the 9th of July. Their was a problem with the cable line from the distribution box to the post. It tooks five different technicians and alot of telephone call to my isp to finnaly get a pair of technician with a ladder long enough to climb the post and get us back connected. Needless to say, that these problems, set us back on fullfilling tree seeds orders. While we expected to be fully update in shipping orders by the 8th of July, it took us almost a week later to catch up. But, now, we are fully live at the shop and are awaiting orders.

We are working hard to find some more seeds for the next fall season, and we are already making arrangement with suppliers to pre-purchase our tree seeds so we get only the freshiest tree seeds possible. Japanese maple seeds, from the red to the green, to any cultivar are very popular and wet/green seeds is a very good seller. We will find some more this year, and hopefully we will have enough to satisfy all of our clients needs. Last year, we sold almost all of them in a month and people were asking for more.

I transplanted some of the germinated japanese back pine seedlings I sowed earlier this year. I cut the tap root, applied some rooting hormones, and transplanted them under a plastic dome. I did the same for a few of the japanese maple tree seeds that had germinated. I also sowed some larix decidua seeds and larix laricina, which are doing well germination wise. This year, I have also taken cuttings from chinese elm, japanese maple, cotoneaster horizontalis, cotoneaster damneri, cotoneaster apiculatus tom thumb and larix laricina.

My garden is great. My peppers, from the bell and the hot peppers, are gorgeous. Im surprise a bit, because we have a nasty summer. We never had two days in a row without rain. I must admit, when it doesnt rain, sun is good, but it rains alot here in my region of the Canada.

Enjoy the rest of your summer and check us often for any update on tree seeds availability.
