Plants vs Heat = more work

by MishoBonsai.com | post a comment

High Temperature Bonsai
This summer was mild in temperature so far. However, this month of August as started pretty hot. It's been three days of constant heat, even the nights are hot. Some of my plants had to be watered twice a day. Some of my bonsai tree have been watered three times a day, yesterday. With an average temperature of 38c (100.4F), with an high of 42c (107.6F), those plants are at risk. The humidity is the culprit here. I like summer, but this is too much.

Next season is looking good in terms of new seeds. Right now, I have 6 new species reserved for next crop of seeds. Some are pretty hard to find. My constant harrassing of the suppliers will let me offered some more bonsai species of seeds. Its a pleasure doing it.

In the meantime, take care of your tree's and plants, water them, and come visit us.
