We will respond to email and emssages as usual, but with a small delay. Thanks alot for your comprehension.

On the tree seeds side of things, all our new species are now available to order in their respective regular packet categories. We will also add the bulk tree seeds items soon. Remember, if you have special request, we are here to help! Dont hesitate!

About 2 weeks ago, I decided to test my stock of Black japanese pine seeds. I sow 50 of regular Pinus Thunbergiana, 50 of the short needles pine and 50 of the mikawa japanese black pine. For the last 5 days, I am seing small seeds poping out of the soil, and now I have a few green stem with very smooth needles. However, I have a problem with regular pinus thunbergiana sprout, every time I come back to check on seedlings, I find them cut or out of soil. My first suspect are a few of the American Robins that frequent my yard. The strange thing is that the mikawa and short needles japanese black pine seedlings dont seem to get the same treatment. The cut on the seedling are to sharp of a cut to be caused by a fungus. The cut, and sometime multiple cuts on the same seedlings, are so sharp that you could think it as been made with a pair of shears.

This blows my project. I wanted to sow these japanese black pine seeds, to test the germination. (so far so good for germination). But, later on, I wanted to take pictures of the seedlings and compare them. Especially the short needles ones, compare to the regular. Mikawa is hard to compare as it takes time before the seedling shows a fissured bark.

Anyhow, ill keep you posted!
Have a great summer!
