This conifer is a favorite in bonsai because of it's gracious dark green foliage. Of broad, sweeping, conical-shaped, it's medium rate growth habit will be a good project for any bonsai enthusiast. Another characteristic appreciated of the hinoki cypress, is it's brwon to reddish peeling barki. Hinoki cypress is the easiest of Cypress to keep alive and maintain in good health.
