Chaenomeles japonica - Japanese Flowering Quince

Another flowering species. This one produce flowers of color red, salmon or orange. The most popular of Quince in Bonsai is japonica because it is appreciated for it's samll flowers and fruit. Altought fruit could be edible, they are too hard to eat. They flower very soon in the season before leaves get out, but they flower for a long period.
