Betula Nigra - River Birch
The river birch differentiate itself from other bark because of the color of its bark. Instead of being white, it is red-brown in color. The bark is peeling like all birch which makes it a great bonsai candidate with a year round quality. The leaves are able to reduce nicely to about an inch in size. The river birch is also superior to certain other birch specie as it does not bleed alot when pruned.
