Albizia julibrissin - Mimosa silk tree
This must be the most unconventionnal specie for bonsai. First, the only suitable size for bonsai of this specie is tall, very tall. This is mainly due to the large leaves. Other then that, its short life range, being mostly 20 years, makes it a not interesting species when planning a long term development. However, the very pink flowers makers it a beautiful tree, even more when growing in a small and proportionate pot. This specie loves heat.
